Welcome to Monroe High School - Home of the Bearcats!

Honor your grad in 2010 yearbook

principal John Lombardi

January 6, 2010

We hope this message finds you happy and healthy as we begin the New Year. We have a very short time remaining before the end of the first semester on January 29, 2010. Please utilize Skyward as a means of staying on top of your student’s progress in their classes at this crucial point of the semester. I also hope that you will encourage your children to stay focused and continue working hard.

Encourage them to take advantage of Bearcat Support or to meet with their teachers and make sure they know all of the options available to them. We have an outstanding faculty that offers a great education to all our students and is always willing to work with you. Our school counselors support our students in their academic and career planning too. If your child does fall short in a class or two please meet with their counselors and explore all of the options available to regain credit as soon as possible.

We have sports teams and both extra and co-curricular organizations for students to join. Students who are involved and connected to their school are successful students. Please visit our website to learn more about what’s happening on our campus for our students.

Finally, thanks to you all for what you do for our school. Our parent and community support allows MHS to continue to be a great example of what’s right with our schools. I’m proud to see that our tradition of excellence is still the hallmark of Monroe High School. It is an honor to serve as your principal.

Wishing all Bearcats all the best in 2010…

Important Notice About Internet Safety

The best way to protect children from online harm is to keep computers in a family area of the home. Visibility allows parents to look over the students' shoulders without being too oppressive. Young children should have a parental chaperone whenever they are on the Internet. Two sites that discuss these issues and offer advice can be found at www.safekids.com and www.safeteens.com.

Hyperlinks to staff web sites (located on the Staff page) are provided for student and parent convenience, and all staff web sites are hosted by external Internet service providers. Monroe Public Schools assumes no liability for content contained on external service provider sites. Filtering software from one of the providers listed below is recommended to prevent unauthorized access to sites beyond the District's control.
