Monroe Public Schools is dedicated to the success of every student. We know that your child will be even more successful with all of us - you, your child and school staff - working together as partners. Research tells us children learn in a variety of styles at varying rates so our partnership is vital to ensuring all students learn.
Check out the states grade level expectations for students. Our curriculum is aligned with the states standards for learning. The buttons above are designed to provide you information about our curriculum in kindergarten through 7th grade. Course catalogs for classes available for 8th through 12th grade students.
Please keep in mind that teachers and curriculum staff work continuously to improve and upgrade curriculum. This documents on the web site continue to change and evolve over time. While we endeavor to keep current curriculum posted, there may be improvements that are not reflected.
Many of these skills are practiced and improved upon in more than one grade level. Skills are listed by subject area but are often taught in conjunction with one another. Research shows that when two or more skills are taught together, student learning is more meaningful.
Our hope is that these links will serve as a guide for you when you discuss your childs progress in school with his/her teacher. By using these links, you will be able to recognize your childs achievements and support the efforts to reach the new higher learning standards at your school. This same information is printed in grade level brochures that are provided to students and parents each year during Open House events.
Students learn best when given high expectations, positive self-concept and encouragement from both family and school. Students succeed when they come from a home where learning is valued.
With all partners - school and families - working together, our students will be successful
