After today's interviews for the interim superintendent for Monroe School District, the school board voted unanimously to offer the position to Dr. Marci Larsen, contingent on the successful negotiation of a contract.
Interim Superintendent
The Monroe School District School Board has launched a formal process to search for an interim superintendent to lead the district for the 2022-23 school year. They are working with HYA Associates, a superintendent recruiting firm, to identify a qualified educator to fill this leadership role. The formal interim superintendent job posting can be found on the HYA Associates website.
The MSD School Board is committed to a transparent and thorough process as they search for an interim superintendent to lead the district, while also understanding there is a sense of urgency in finding a qualified interim superintendent as soon as possible. Community members, families, and staff will be invited to engage in the process and details on what that will look like will be shared below once they have been finalized.
Timeline
With the 2022-23 school year quickly approaching, it is the goal of the school board to approve a contract for an interim superintendent by the end of July/early August. The timeline of activities to accomplish that goal are as follows:
