Monroe School District Board Director Applicants Sought

The Monroe School District Board of Directors is seeking qualified applicants for the Director District #1 School Board Director position that is currently open. Individuals interested in representing Director District #1 on the Monroe School Board may complete the online application or print and send it send via postal mail to Dr. Fredrika Smith, Monroe School District Superintendent.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, registered voters in the State of Washington, and residents of Director District #1 (see boundary description below). Applications will be accepted through July 9, 2018. Following that date, interviews with the Board for qualified applications will be scheduled.

The individual selected and appointed by the Board to fill this open position will serve until the next election in November 2019. Prior to that date, if the individual appointed (or any other interested individual) wishes to run for election, that individual would need to file for candidacy with Snohomish County during the June 2019 filing period as required by law.

North and Northeasterly on Woods Creek Rd to Wagner Rd.
North on Wagner Rd to 132nd St SE.
East on 132nd St SE to 227th Ave SE.
North on 227th Ave SE to the pipeline just north of Pipeline Rd.
Easterly on the pipeline to Woods Creek Rd.
Northerly on Woods Creek Rd to the school district boundary.
Counter-clockwise on the school district boundary to the western crossing of US Hwy 2.
Southeasterly on US Hwy 2 to the point of the beginning.
