Monroe, Snohomish and Sultan School Districts' Indian Education Program to Host Pow Wow

Monroe, Snohomish and Sultan School Districts' Skykomish Valley Indian Education program is holding the 15th Annual Traditional Pow Wow. The event will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Monroe High School in the Commons, 17001 Tester Road, Monroe, WA 98272 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Everyone is welcome and there is no admission charge!

There will be a Plains-style Pow Wow Grand Entry at 1:00 PM and again at 6:00 PM. A free dinner will be served from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM with pow wow soup, fry bread by Ernie and Melissa Benson and snacks available during the rest of the evening. Cultural arts vendors and information tables for health and education will be part of the event. The Closing Ceremony will take place at 9:00 PM.

Proceeds will benefit the Skykomish Valley Indian Education Parent Organization scholarship fund and provide funding for future cultural events.

Skykomish Valley Indian Education is a grant-funded program serving Native American/Alaska Native students, preschool through high school, in the Monroe, Snohomish and Sultan school districts.
