On National Letter of Intent Signing Day, Monroe High School students and staff members filled the PAC to watch as two seniors signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers at Division I schools.
Next fall, Leah Anderson will follow in her older sister's footsteps and attend the University of Georgia to compete on their Equestrian Team. Leah has also lettered three times as a varsity cross country student-athlete. She anticipates studying International Business while enrolled at the University of Georgia. While at MHS, she has maintained a 4.0 GPA while enrolled in honors courses and running start. Leah has won both NSBA Reserve World Champion and American Quarterhorse World Champion.
Next fall, Brooke Barnes will join the Wolverines at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Brooke has earned three varsity letters in volleyball while at MHS and made honorable mention for WESCO All League in 2018. She was on the 4th place in state volleyball team last year and is currently varsity team captain. Brooke anticipates studying psychology while enrolled at Utah Valley University. At MHS, she has maintained a 3.49 GPA while taking AP, honors and College in the High School courses. Brooke also currently serves the students of MHS as the ASB Secretary.
