Updated Guidance on Physical Distancing in Schools

Updated Guidance on Physical Distancing in Schools

We are aware of Governor Inslee's March 25 order that allows Washington state schools to begin using the three-foot physical distancing model in classrooms in alignment with recent CDC guidance as well as the updated guidance from the Washington State Department of Health.

Our current district safety plans were built on previous recommendations from the Department of Health, and must be reexamined. The safety of our students and employees remains our utmost priority, and we are reviewing this new guidance to determine how and when it can be safely implemented in our schools.

More information will be shared as decisions are made. Thank you for your continued patience and partnership.
