Monroe School District extends congratulations to the two school board directors elected in the November 2025 General Election. While election results will not be officially certified until November 25, preliminary data from the Snohomish County Elections website indicates that James Etzkorn and Molly Barnes have been successful in their respective races.

Director James Etzkorn was appointed to the Monroe School District Board in March 2023 to fill the District 4 vacancy following a resignation. Appointed directors serve until the next regularly scheduled election. In November 2023, Director Etzkorn ran unopposed and was elected to continue serving through 2025. He will now begin a new four-year term.

Director Molly Barnes, elected as a school board director in the 2021 General Election, has successfully secured another term in the November 2025 General Election. After serving an initial four-year term, Director Barnes will continue her dedicated service as the Director of District 3 for an additional four years.
