Fall Conferences: November 4-8

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Fall parent-teacher conferences will be held this year on November 4-8.

To provide teachers time to engage in these important conversations with families about their students' academic progress, students will be dismissed early all week. Middle & high school students will be dismissed at 11:50 a.m. and elementary students at 12:55 p.m. Lunch will be available at school. *SVEC will remain on regular schedule.

Parent-teacher conferences play a vital role in students' educational experience by fostering effective communication, collaboration, and support between parents and teachers, ultimately leading to improved student success and well-being.

Please let your child's school or teacher know in advance if you will need interpreter services to communicate with teachers in a language other than English.

Elementary Schools

Conferences will be held Monday-Friday (11/4-11/8). Each conference is scheduled for 20 minutes and will be held in person, unless alternate arrangements are made with individual teachers. Teachers will reach out to families with information on how to sign up for a conference time.

Middle Schools

Hidden River Middle School
Student-led conferences will be held on Wednesday (11/6) and Thursday (11/7) from 12:30-3:30 p.m. and 4:30-7:30 p.m. (last conference at 7:00 p.m.). This format helps parents and teachers partner with students as they take steps to own and drive their learning progress.

Families should have received an email from your “Conference Facilitator,” who is in most cases your student’s “Hawk Academy” Teacher with appointment time slots for you to select for your conference.  Please indicate in the scheduling process whether you will plan to attend in-person or via Zoom. A Zoom link will be provided for families who choose that option.

Park Place Middle School
Student-led conferences will be held on Tuesday (10/24) and Wednesday (10/25) from 12:30-3:30 p.m. and 4:30-7:00 p.m. This is a great time to learn about your student's successes, goals for moving forward, and ways your student needs support.

Families will sign up to meet with their students' conference teacher (in many cases their 3rd period teachers) for a 15 minute conference. Conference teachers should have already reached out to you with their appointment calendars & availability. Conferences will be available in person, or via Zoom, and interpretation services will be available using our phone interpretation service.

High Schools

Leaders High School
Conferences for Leaders High School will be held October 28-31. Please email your student's advisor to schedule a conference.

Monroe High School
Conferences will be held on Monday (11/4) & Wednesday (11/26) from 12:30-3:00 p.m. & 5:00-7:30 p.m.

Families are invited to meet with each of their child's teachers to discuss their child's progress. All teachers and counselors will be seated at tables in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and in the Commons. Families do not need to make an appointment and may stop in to meet with teachers, as their schedule allows, during these times.

For more specific information about conferences at your child's school, please reach out the the school directly.
