Great news! Students who attend Frank Wagner Elementary and Leaders High School will continue to receive free meals for the 2024-25 school year and now all students at Fryelands Elementary qualify too! This means that breakfast and lunches are free to all students at these schools this year. *Note: students are eligible for one free breakfast & lunch per school day; there is a fee for additional meals beyond that per day.
These schools' qualification for free meals is based on the percentage of families with students attending that school who qualify as low-income. In order for these schools to continue to qualify for free meals (and for more schools to qualify next year!), families are encouraged to fill out a Free & Reduced Price Meal Application each year. Not only does this application help secure funding for our schools to continue to receive free meals, it also provides students access to fee waivers and summer EBT benefits.
If your family has additional students at schools other than the ones listed above, you will need to submit a Free and Reduced Price Meal application in order for them to be eligible to receive free meals at their school. Eligibility guidelines are set by the federal government and are based on household income and size. All application material is kept confidential.
Families who apply and qualify for free or reduced meals are eligible to have certain student fees (ASB cards, Chromebook Protection Plans, field trips, extracurricular activity fees, etc) automatically waived each year. Your student’s eligibility status is strictly confidential; however, if you would like to have their benefit eligibility status shared with school officials only so that your student may receive automatic fee waivers, please complete a Consent to Share Form. More information and Consent to Share Forms can be found on our website, here.
