The Monroe School District Board of Directors are pleased to announce they have selected James Etzkorn as the new Director of District No. 4. 

Four candidates interviewed for the vacant position at a special school board meeting on March 10, 2023. After deliberations in executive session to discuss the qualifications of the candidates, Etzkorn received unanimous approval for appointment by all four board directors.

With diverse professional leadership and project management experience along with demonstrated passion and involvement in education, the board felt that Etzkorn was the candidate best equipped to make a positive impact in the educational lives of students.

Etzkorn will take the oath of office at the next regularly scheduled board meeting on Monday, March 13, 2023. As the new Director of District No. 4, Etzkorn will occupy the seat until the next regularly scheduled election in November of 2023, at which time he will need to run in the general election and be elected by the voters if he wishes to continue serving on the school board.
