In January, we recognize National School Board Recognition Month - a time to recognize the important role school board directors play in education.
Five community members make up Monroe School District's Board of Directors—President Jennifer Bumpus, Vice President Jeremiah Campbell, Molly Barnes, James Etzkorn, and Chuck Whitfield—and are elected by local voters.
From setting policies to supporting educational excellence and managing budgets, their decisions impact every student, staff member, and family in the district. In Washington, school board members are volunteers, giving their time and energy to create a brighter future for all.
Meet the dedicated community members serving on the Monroe School District Board:
- District 1: Jeremiah Campbell, 4 years of service
- District 2: Chuck Whitfield, 6 years of service
- District 3: Molly Barnes, 4 years of service
- District 4: James Etzkorn, 2 years of service
- District 5: Jennifer Bumpus, 4 years of service
- Student Representatives: Sophia Willett (Senior Rep - MHS) and Myron Robinson(Junior Rep - MHS)
Please join us in thanking them for their service to our schools and community!
