Our public school Montessori Program is open to students in grades K-5 and is located at Maltby Elementary School. This program offers multi-age classrooms that operate on an all-day, every day schedule like our traditional classrooms. Students in grades K-5 may apply to be enrolled in the program; however, classes offered and grade-level groupings are determined by enrollment numbers and the specific needs of the students in the program each year.

Montessori Info Night
An informational meeting for all families interested in participating in the Montessori Program at will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Maltby Elementary.

Program Enrollment
Families of new Montessori students must turn in an interest form to be considered for possible enrollment. Interest forms for new students the 2026-27 school year are due no later than 4:00 p.m. on March 31, 2026. Families are notified through email of acceptance or if their child has been added to the waitlist. Once all openings are filled, a waitlist is created for all other interested families. 

Priority is given to students who live in the Monroe School District boundaries. Priority is also given in the following order:

1. Siblings of currently enrolled students
2. In-district students
3. Out-of-district students
