Exciting news for Monroe School District junior and senior students! Starting in the 2024-2025 school year, Sno-Isle TECH is launching an Early Childhood Education satellite program in Monroe. The program is a year-long course that provides opportunities to develop and practice skills essential for working in the field of Early Childhood Education.
The program’s primary focus is to address the need for more qualified professionals in early childhood and paraeducator roles within Snohomish County. Over the next ten years, there is an expected increase in jobs in these fields: 36% in Early Childhood Educator positions and a 19% increase in paraeducator roles.
Applications are open now and students are encouraged to apply early as limited spots are available. No prerequisites are required for enrollment.
Students participating in this program will have the opportunity to earn STARS and paraeducator certifications. In addition, they will have the opportunity to earn up to 12 college credits at Everett Community College, giving them a head start on their college career. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in a career in early childhood education.
Graduates will be well-prepared to make a positive impact in various environments, including preschools, childcare centers, and public schools. It's a big chance for students who like working with young children to learn more and get ready for a job they might love!
