Protect Your Student’s Chromebook: 2026–27 Protection Plan

Chromebook Protection Plan 2026-27

Chromebooks for Students in Grades 6–12

Monroe School District provides each student in grades 6–12 with a Chromebook and charger to use at school and at home. Students should bring their Chromebook to school fully charged each day and take care of it just as they would other school-issued materials.

We know accidents can happen. Because families are responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing damaged, lost, or stolen Chromebooks, the district offers an optional Chromebook Protection Plan to help reduce those unexpected costs.

Chromebook Protection Plan

The Chromebook Protection Plan covers the cost of:

  • Accidental damage
  • Loss
  • Theft

The plan does not cover intentional damage, misuse, abuse, or neglect.

Chargers are also not covered by the Protection Plan because they cannot be repaired. Families are responsible for the cost of replacing a lost or damaged charger.

You can review our Chromebook Expectations to learn more about caring for district-issued devices.

 Cost

The Chromebook Protection Plan costs $30 per student for the 2026–27 school year.

The cost is reduced to $10 for students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals and have a Consent to Share form on file.

If you choose not to purchase the Protection Plan, your family will be responsible for the full cost of repairing or replacing your student's Chromebook if it is damaged, lost, or stolen.

Sign Up by October 30
