FACILITYFOCUSGROUPS

Dear Monroe School District Community,

Over the past six months, Monroe School District has partnered with a consulting firm that specializes in school facility planning, along with our Facility Advisory Committee, to evaluate the current and future needs of our district's buildings and learning spaces. The committee’s goal is to identify necessary facility improvements and provide a recommendation to the school board for potential investments.

As part of this process, we’ve partnered with BrandVenture Consulting, a firm that supports school districts with marketing, community engagement, and facility planning—especially when preparing for future ballot measures. BrandVenture will lead informal, conversation-based focus groups to help inform the next steps in our facilities planning efforts.

To ensure a wide range of perspectives are represented, Meagan Garrett, Principal at BrandVenture Consulting, will meet with small groups of staff, families, and community members. These 50-minute sessions will help us better understand community priorities and reflect them in the planning process.

Meagan will be in the district on Monday, August 11 and Tuesday, August 12 to conduct these focus group discussions. Time blocks have been scheduled specifically for staff, families, and community members to ensure that all voices are heard.

UPDATE: All focus group sessions are now full.

We also invite you to attend the upcoming School Board Workshop on Monday, August 11 from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, where the Facility Advisory Committee will present its recommendation to the school board. This is a valuable opportunity to hear about the committee's work, the process they followed, and the improvements they are recommending for our district’s facilities.

We truly value your voice in this important process and appreciate your willingness to participate.

Sincerely,

Shawn Woodward
Superintendent
