MHS Receives National Athletic Trainers' Association Award

The Monroe High School (MHS) Athletic Training program received a 1st Team Safe Sports School award by the National Athletic Trainers' Association. The Safe Sports School award champions safety and recognizes secondary schools that provide safe environments for student athletes. In addition, the award reinforces the importance of providing the best level of care, injury prevention and treatment to student athletic programs.

6th Grade Information Night

Hidden River and Park Place middle schools will welcome all incoming sixth graders and their families during Sixth Grade Information Night on Monday, March 5th.

Seven MHS Players Commit to Play College Football

The 2018 National Signing Day resulted in seven Monroe High School's senior football players signing letters of intent to continue to play football in college. According to MHS Athletic Director, Mark Henderson, this is the most athletes from one team to commit to playing college athletics in the school's recent history.

Replacement Levy will be on February Ballot

The Monroe School District Board of Directors unanimously approved a resolution to place a Replacement of Expiring School Program and Operations (SP&O) levy on the February 13, 2018 ballot.

Jerry Martin Sworn in as New School Board Director

After being elected as the newest School Board Director in November, Jerry Martin was officially sworn in by Monroe School District Superintendent, Dr. Fredrika Smith, at his first School Board meeting on Monday, December 11, 2017.

Virtual Lesson for Kindergarten Students

Kindergarten students at Chain Lake Elementary had the opportunity to learn about technology from Microsoft employees via the new classroom webcam. The webcams were installed with the large interactive display panels over the summer, thanks to the passage of the 2014 technology levy.

Equitable Access Through Collaborative Teaching

To ensure all students with unique needs have a positive and equitable educational experience, our teachers have begun implementing a collaborative teaching model in which the general education teacher and a specialist teacher plan lessons together and share in the teaching of the lesson to meet the needs of students with varying ability levels within one classroom.
