2018 Community Budget Talks

The Monroe School District hosted budget talks as an opportunity for our community to learn about how school district funding has changed and will impact the district, preview the budget for the 2018-19 school year and beyond and ask any clarifying questions. The budget talks were held Tuesday, June 12th at Wagner Center and Thursday, June 14th at Hidden River Middle School. If you were unable to attend, click here to view the presentation.

The Monroe School District Board of Directors is seeking qualified applicants for the Director District #1 School Board Director position that is currently open. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, registered voters in the State of Washington, and residents of Director District #1.

School Board Director Jason Hutchinson Resigns

After six years of service on the Monroe School District Board of Directors, Jason Hutchinson has resigned from his position as Director of District 1 to pursue a business ownership opportunity with his family in his hometown of Walla Walla.

Leaders from the Washington State Office of the Superintendent for Public Instruction (OSPI) and other state directors from across the country spent a day in Monroe School District learning about how we are leading the way in providing equity for students with disabilities.

In the fall of the 2018-19 school year the Monroe School District will be making changes to our current library program in grades K-8.
