Jerry Martin was elected to the Board of Directors in November 2017. As a parent of a student in the district, Jerry volunteered in the Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) program and through his involvement in our schools, realized he wanted to do more for the students of Monroe. When a position opened up on the School Board, it was a natural fit for Jerry.
Originally from Olympia/Tumwater area, Jerry has lived in Monroe for 17 years. Jerry and his wife, Lisa, have 3 children and a five-year-old grandson. While their oldest children are now adults, their youngest child is currently an 8th grade student at Park Place Middle School.
Jerry earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from City University of Seattle and has been employed as a Purchasing Manager for a private direct sales company for the past 19 years.
