Nancy Truitt Pierce

Nancy Truitt Pierce was elected to the Board of Directors in November 2011. She ran for the position as a way to give back to the community and ensure pride in our schools. As a parent of students in the district, Nancy was impressed with Monroe School District and wanted to do her part to keep the district strong.

Originally from Oregon, Nancy moved to Monroe with her family in 1995. Nancy and her husband Joel live on a farm on the banks of Woods Creek. Their daughter graduated from Monroe High School (MHS) in 2000 and their son, who started as a preschooler in Monroe, graduated from MHS in 2012.

Nancy earned an associate degree in Math from Bellevue Community College, a bachelor’s degree in Human Development from The Evergreen State College and completed all course work for a master’s degree in Public Administration from Seattle University. She is the CEO and Founder of Woods Creek Consulting Company, specializing in organizational design, leadership effectiveness, planning, strategy, and executive team effectiveness. She also authored the book “The Founder Factor.”

She serves on numerous corporate and nonprofit boards including: Trustee for Everett Community College, Governing Board of Housing Hope, Governor Inslee’s STEM Advisory Board, and Washington State School Director’s Association Legislative Committee.
