Preschool Programs
Developmental Preschool
The Monroe School District Developmental Preschool Program provides instruction and services to students ages 3-4 with developmental delays. The program is currently located at Fryelands Elementary.
Parents/guardians who are concerned about the development of their preschool-age child should contact Monroe School District's Student Services Department at (360) 804-2600 or email housec@monroe.wednet.edu for more information or to schedule a screening for placement in the program.
Inclusive Preschool
Our “Growing Together” inclusive preschool program brings students with and without disabilities together to learn side by side in a supportive, high quality early childhood environment. Class size is approximately 14 students, led by a certificated teacher and specialized support paraeducator. This classroom uses the Creative Curriculum to provide engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Location
Our Growing Together classrooms are currently located at Fryelands Elementary and Frank Wagner Elementary. Students are assigned to a classroom based on available space, not their preferred location.
Class Schedule
Classes are held Monday-Thursdays from 8:55 to 11:25 a.m. (AM session) and 12:55 to 3:25 p.m. (PM session).
Tuition
This is a fee-based preschool program with reduced tuition rates available for families who qualify for free & reduced price meals. Students with disabilities who are placed in the program by their Individualized Education Plan (IEP) team do not pay tuition.
The standard tuition rate is $488.20/month, and the reduced tuition rate is $244.10/month. Please note: The monthly payment amount is the same each month, even if the month is shorter. This is because the total program cost is divided evenly into 10 monthly installments.
