Seattle Children’s Hospital - Crisis Care Clinic

The Behavioral Health Crisis Care Clinic offers families an option besides the Emergency Department when your child is having a mental health crisis. They help children and teens having a suicidal crisis that is not an emergency. Fairfax Behavioral Health - Monroe

Fairfax Health offers inpatient help for teens experiencing an emotional or behavioral crisis and who need the safety of 24-hour care by trained psychiatric professionals. Take the Next Step

Take the Next Step is Monroe's nonprofit Family Resource Center serving individuals and families in need.  At the Resource Center, one can get direction and assistance from local resource experts, financial assistance, rental assistance, sports and activity scholarships, employment assistance, transportation assistance, legal help, mental health services, food pantry, hygiene items, cold weather gear, etc.

Additionally, they serve weekly Community Dinners on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., assist our unhoused neighbors, meeting them where they're at, 3 times per week on Outreach, Growing Together teen parent support program, and Kidz Club after school program for children living in Monroe's high-poverty neighborhoods and attending our Title I elementary schools.

Camp Erin - Grief Support Camp for Kids

Camp Erin is a free weekend camp for children ages 6-17 (or 18 if still in school) who have experienced a loss." They offer a special combination of fun recreational activities and supportive discussions to help campers build their trust, self-esteem and coping skills. Age-appropriate groups of children and teens provide an opportunity to meet with peers who have had similar feelings and experiences. Planned activities allow for sharing of feelings and concerns, friendship building and fun.

The Trevor Project
