Our mission is to maintain and improve all district facility buildings and grounds in a manner which positively contributes to the learning experience of each student by providing a safe, clean, sustainable and healthy environment.

Facilities and Operations has a staff of 32 custodians, five maintenance specialists and five grounds employees. Work orders are submitted, routed, assigned, and their progress monitored online through the use of a computerized work order system.

During the course of an average year, our maintenance staff complete approximately 3,200 to 3,500 work order requests from schools and the district office. The Department is also responsible for life safety, indoor air quality, security, design, construction and remodeling, and acts as a liaison with municipalities and other governmental entities within our boundaries.
