Paraeducators are an integral part of the school community. We typically have paraeducator openings throughout the school year. 

• If you do not yet meet the minimum requirements listed below, you may still qualify to be a paraeducator substitute (holding a high school diploma or equivalent). 

Prior to being considered for a paraeducator position, candidates must satisfy one of the following criteria:  

• Hold an AA or higher degree from a college or university OR 
• Have earned at least two years college with 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher at an accredited college or university OR
• Completion of approved apprenticeship program OR
• Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent AND receive a passing score on an PESB approved test (see info below) 

If you are interested in taking an approved Para Test, please see the links below for test prep info and registration for testing. When taking the test, please indicate that Monroe SD should receive test results - and then upload them to your application.
