How does WLCC work?

Step 1: Register

We are offering the World Language Proficiency test March 6th at MHS.  You will be assigned a staggered arrival time to complete the COVID protocol (attestation, temperature check) requirements.  The test will start at 9:00am. Students who arrive late will not be allowed entry to the building and may have an opportunity to test on a later date.   We will contact you via your student school email to let you know if you will be participating March 6th. Please complete the registration form below by Friday, February 19th.

Step 2: Prepare for the test

Once you complete your registration, you will be notified the week of February 22nd-26th if you will be testing on March 6th. That email will include links with access to more information about testing. If you’re interested in learning more now, please go to Avant Assessment’s website to review the format of the assessment.

In addition, you may wish to review these helpful study tips and take this self-assessment to help you prepare for the test.

Step 3: Take the test

For the STAMP test: bring your photo ID, fully charged laptop and laptop charger. Arrive on time. Complete your attestation in advance. Do not come if you are sick. You will get an email the week of testing to share important information.

Step 4: Get the results

Four to six weeks following the test, you will receive a letter from the district informing you of your scores and how much credit you earned, as well as official score reports from the testing company. By the end of the school year in which you take the test, the credits you earned will be viewable in Skyward under your Graduation Requirements tab and specifically, World Language or Electives. Scores and credits will also be shared with your counselor and the registrar at your school. They will add this information to your transcript.
