Kindergarten Transportation
Kindergarten students that attend their home school and live outside the 1.0 mile walk area are eligible for school bus transportation. Students that are overflowed to a school other than their home school due to space availability are eligible for specialized bus transportation.
Busing Requests & E-Link
If families want busing they must request it by sending in a Transportation Request Form. After the request form is submitted, routing and busing information will be available in 2 business days or less. Families can access their students busing information through an online tool called E-Link. E-Link is directly tied to our routing and planning software and will provide real-time routing information. Complete instructions to access E-Link are available on the Bus Routes page.
Kindergarten Safety
For the safety of our students, drivers are not authorized to drop off kindergarten children without a parent/guardian or designee who has been pre-authorized by the parent in writing to receive them at their bus stop. Older siblings and other identified adults may be authorized as a designee. Due to road conditions of routes, drop-off times can vary slightly from day to day, so please be at your student's bus stop five minutes prior to the scheduled drop off time. Students not met by a parent/guardian/designee will be returned to their schools.
To authorize an adult to receive your student off of the school bus, complete the Permission to Release Form. Please notify the Transportation Department of any change to your student's transportation plan. Any change requires a minimum of three (3) school days for the change to be implemented. This would include changes in daycare accommodations and address changes for pick up or drop off locations. In addition, it is important to please notify us immediately of any phone numbers that have changed. You may submit this information to Transportation using the Transportation Request Form.
