CERTIFICATED EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH

Rachel Nagy - Teacher at Frank Wagner & Chain Lake Elementary

cert of mo january

Core value exemplified: Integrity

It feels inappropriate to select only one core value that Rachel Nagy exemplifies because she embodies collaboration, excellence, and integrity to create an equitable, student-centered space where all belong and can grow.

Rachel splits her time between two schools, and you'll only know it if you try to find her in the morning. When she is at Frank she is an unstoppable force of advocacy and support and goes above and beyond to make sure that all of her students (and all of the students at Frank Wagner) have what they need to succeed.

She works with our intermediate grade students with IEPs and Rachel goes above and beyond to make sure they have access, instruction, and experience with all the tools they need to access their curriculum and grow. She knows what students will face when they transition to secondary and is exceptionally intentional about ensuring each student has the accommodations and practice with what they will need to be successful in middle school and beyond.

Rachel also integrates student voice into all she does, pairing integrity with a student-centered focus. From getting student input for preferred format for services, finding areas of interest and building lasting connections, aligning that knowledge with her deep understanding of their needs and access points, Rachel Nagy does a fantastic job of making school a safe and productive place for countless students.

We are so grateful that she shares her expertise and passion here with our students at Frank Wagner and she is an amazing Wildcat!
