The Monroe School District Employee Honor Roll recognition program is aimed at recognizing employees for exemplifying the Monroe School District Commitment through their service to our students, staff, families, and/or community.
Supervisors, fellow employees, parents, and community members submitted 23 nominations in March.
All March nominees are recognized HERE, but only one classified and one certificated staff member are selected each month as the Employees of the Month.

CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Jamie Peterson - Paraeducator at Frank Wagner Elementary
This is Jamie's first year as a para and she has proven to be an invaluable member of our Transition to Kindergarten team. Her enthusiasm for professional development is evident through her proactive approach to seeking feedback and consistently striving for improvement.
One of Jamie's admirable qualities is her openness to feedback. She actively seeks guidance from her peers, willingly incorporates suggestions, and consistently demonstrates a genuine desire to enhance her practices. This not only contributes to her personal and professional development but also fosters a collaborative and supportive environment within our team.
Jamie has excelled in building strong and meaningful relationships with our students. Her ability to connect with each child on a personal level creates an atmosphere of trust and security within her classroom. The positive impact of these relationships is evident in the joy and enthusiasm our students exhibit daily.

Kerry Erickson - Teacher at Monroe High School
Kerry goes above and beyond to support ALL students in her classes at MHS. She cares deeply about the success of students with IEPs, students receiving multilingual support, and students in general education. She does a fantastic job of providing accommodations and modifications for everyone in her classes. She is attentive to each of her students' needs and will plan/prep ahead of time accordingly to make sure everyone in the class has an opportunity to learn. Keep up the great work, Kerry!
