Chuck Whitfield

Chuck Whitfield was elected to serve a four-year term as the Director of District 2 in November of 2019. He firmly believes it is the duty of a citizen to serve in the community where they live, and is excited to be given this opportunity and responsibility.

Chuck is the third generation of Whitfields who have lived in Monroe. His grandparents moved to Monroe in 1933, and the Whitfield family has been a part of the community ever since. He is also the third generation in his family to serve as a school board director in Monroe.

Chuck and his wife, Nancy, both graduated from Monroe High School, as well as their three children. Chuck lettered in football, wrestling, and track. Following high school, he enlisted in the Army and served in Germany. After his service, Chuck attended Western Washington University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business. Following college, he had a career as an insurance broker for 30 years. Chuck currently operates a vehicle licensing agency in Monroe.

Two of Chuck’s children are teachers so he really understands the importance of supporting the staff and faculty of the district so that the students get the best possible education. If the teachers are supported, then the kids are supported.

Chuck is active in the Monroe Rotary Club, and a member of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. When he's not working, you can find him gardening, woodworking, and camping in State Parks throughout the region.
