Q: Which schools will offer free full-day Kindergarten?

A: All elementary schools offer free full-day kindergarten to all eligible incoming students.


Q: Where do I register?

A: Registration is online. Once you have filled out the online portion, you will be required to complete the registration process at your neighborhood school. The kindergarten registration window opens February 28, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year.


Q: Why do I have to register my child so soon for next year?

A: We set the registration window in order to get an enrollment count to help the Monroe School District determine staffing and classroom needs for the next year.


Q: How old does my child need to be to register?

A: Incoming kindergarten students must be at least 5 years old by August 31, 2024 in order to register for kindergarten.


Q: Can I register him/her if they do not turn 5 by August 31?

A: No. However, students who will turn 5 after August 31st, are eligible to apply for Early Entrance. The students must complete independent testing by a qualified assessor and meet district Early Entrance requirements. Q: What do I need to register?

A: Immunization records, proof of birth date such as a copy of the birth certificate or passport, and proof of home address such as a purchase or lease agreement and an energy utility bill are necessary for registration.
