Apply Now: Free School Meals + Extra Benefits for Your Family

We are excited to share that for the 2025–26 school year, all students at Frank Wagner Elementary, Fryelands Elementary, and Leaders High School will continue to receive one breakfast and one lunch at no cost per school day. Additional meals may be purchased at regular prices.

This opportunity is possible because of the number of families at these schools who qualified as income-eligible last year. Thank you to everyone who submitted applications last year—it makes a difference for all students!

Help Our Schools Continue to Qualify

To ensure that these schools—and potentially others in our district—can continue to provide meals at no cost in future years, families must complete the annual Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Application (formerly called the Free & Reduced Price Meal Application).

  • Applications received by October 1, 2025 determine school eligibility for the 2026–27 school year.

  • Submitting an application not only helps secure schoolwide meals at no cost but also provides families access to important additional benefits.

  • Applications are simple, confidential, and available to all families regardless of citizenship or immigration status.

What If Your Student Attends Another School?

For all other Monroe School District schools (except Sky Valley Education Center), students are only eligible to receive meals at no cost if their family submits and qualifies through the Child Nutrition Eligibility & Education Benefit Application (formerly called the Free & Reduced Price Meal Application) each school year.

In fact, if enough families at your school apply and qualify by October 1 this year, your entire school could qualify for schoolwide meals at no cost next year!

  • Elementary schools: at least 30% of families must qualify.

  • Secondary schools: at least 40% must qualify.

This is how Frank Wagner Elementary, Fryelands Elementary, and Leaders High School earned schoolwide meal benefits for the 2025–26 school year!

Additional Benefits for Families Who Qualify

Families who apply and qualify for free/reduced meals are also eligible for:

  • Waived fees for non-curricular student expenses (ASB cards, athletics, dances, extracurricular activities, etc.)

  • Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) food benefits

  • Family Event Passes (with a Consent to Share Form), which allow reduced admission for family members at ASB events such as athletic games and drama productions across the district.

To automatically receive fee waivers or Family Event Passes, families must also complete a Consent to Share Form, available here on our website.
