About
As a caring community of students, staff, and parents, we at Hidden River Middle School dedicate ourselves to a program that meets the unique needs of the middle school student. Through quality curriculum, consistent expectations, and enrichment, students strive to be responsible citizens and develop a positive self image as they become lifelong learners.
Our school serves approximately 300 students in grades 6-8. You can view our school boundaries here.
Hidden River Middle School was built in 1999. A covered play shed was added in 2002, and the addition of a gymnasium, music, and choir room occurred in 2005. Thanks to a voter-approved capital projects bond in 2015, a 23,653 square foot expansion was added to Hidden River Middle School in 2019. The expansion added a new wing to the existing building and contained a new commons/cafeteria, kitchen, two science classrooms, two general classrooms, a visual arts classroom, and a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) lab. The project also included a new jogging track and all-weather turf baseball and football/soccer fields. The school sits on approximately 25.2 acres.

School Improvement Plan
Our School Improvement Plan (SIP) is an action plan that identifies the areas we plan to focus on in the current school year, the performance goals we want students to achieve, and how we plan to collaboratively meet these goals. The plans are updated annually each fall.
School Report
School Reports show a brief snapshot of a school’s academic growth, student climate, accountability, family and staff engagement, and overall school performance. School reports are produced by the State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction for each school and district in the state and updated periodically throughout the year as data becomes available.
On state assessments, students who are expected to participate but do not, such as absences or opting out, are counted as non-proficient. This may affect the school’s overall proficiency rating.
School Climate & Culture Survey
School Climate & Culture Surveys are used for school-level improvements, climate surveys are given to all staff, students, and families each year. The student surveys are given to students in class in the fall and in the spring; the family and staff survey occurs in the spring.
