CERTIFICATED

Matt has remained our therapist for a number of years which speaks highly to his dedication for our students. He is always putting their needs first and is consistently professional and communicative with his co-workers surrounding students.

Ansgar Duemchen
Teacher at Park Place Middle School
Mr. D is an amazing asset to our school. He has the most positive outlook and approachable attitude that parents find easy to connect with and get feedback about on how their students are doing. I can't imagine not having his smiling face around us.

Andrea Vye
Teacher at Frank Wagner Elementary
Although Andrea is a building mentor for new staff, she has taken on more of us than she was given and has helped us with district/school/teaching things to help us acclimate to our new school/job. She has not once complained about the extra work that it has likely created for her. She is always willing to lend an ear, give advice, or help us troubleshoot a problem. She has made me feel more welcome and supported than I ever have in a district, and she doesn't have to (I am not one of her assigned mentees). Her commitment to helping staff achieve their goals in order to help our staff and students succeed should be commended.

Alicia Mohler
Teacher at Maltby Elementary
Nomination #1: Mrs. Mohler has gone above and beyond in supporting student work through their various behavior and academic goals. She has done this by actively fostering a relationship, meeting them where they are at, and working with their whole support team.

Nomination #2: Alicia is a proactive teacher who goes above and beyond to do her best to meet each individual student's needs. She starts each morning with individual greetings, gives positive praise to struggling students, facilitates classroom circles, teaches consistent PAX and models it, creates 1:1 relationship building, and ends each classroom day saying goodbye to each student. When a student needs additional support Alicia reaches out to team members to work together to create a successful plan. The support Alicia provides each student  supports and creates successful learners academically, socially, and emotionally.

Ms. Wilce consistently supports our students, and does her utmost to make sure that all students engage with the learning and continue to grow. Thank you, Ms. Wilce, for your incredible dedication to and care for our students!

CLASSIFIED

Analisa Cisneros Nuñez
Counseling Center Office Support at Monroe High School
Analisa's help and support were crucial to making sure that all AP Spanish IV students had working accounts with AP College Board/AP Classroom. For whatever reason, the process of signing up can often be unnecessarily arduous, and may even involve calling the College Board directly. With Analisa's help and bilingual expertise, we were able to make sure that all students had working accounts and could therefore both work in AP classroom as well as register for the AP Spanish Language and Culture exam.

Jill Skold
Office Manager at Hidden River Middle School
Jill has taken on a new role this year as office manager, she is always willing to help with any office issues needed, but she also will come and assist in the SLC classroom where she used to work and has relationships with our students. She is always willing to go above and beyond to help out, and even though it can be super stressful, you always see her with a smile and a wave. We have had a couple of stressful situations with SLC students and Jill has jumped right in and been willing to help even though that is no longer part of her daily job. She is so very appreciated.

Dawn Mcarther & Nicole Williams
Paraeducators at Frank Wagner Elementary
These two are the most incredible paras. They go above and beyond and PBS couldn't run without their hard work, consistency and firm values. I'm so proud to know them!

Maggie Jacobs
Registrar at Sky Valley Education Center
Nomination #1: Maggie has been with the district since 1992. She has been in this current role for 17 years. She is one of the biggest assets SVEC has.  Maggie makes sure each student and family feels welcomed. She spends A LOT of time explaining the in's and out's of our amazing, unique school. She will sit down with families to go over our different programs and options, patiently explaining all the rules and regulations. Maggie spends so much time giving excellent customer service to our teacher, staff, students and families. Maggie Jacobs (previously known as Margaret) is a treasure to SVEC and MSD!!!

Nomination #2: Maggie is magnificent. Her ability to organize and process the reports and requests she needs to complete on a weekly basis is amazing. In addition, her compassion, warmth, and sincerity when she welcomes new families to Sky Valley is a true gift that we all treasure. She is thorough, knowledgeable, and attentive, and makes sure that each family has an opportunity to hear about a program that best meets their needs. While she is offering each family hope, she is managing all the details related to student record keeping, answering the phone, and keeping our student management system accurate and updated. She is a master at her job and we all rely on her expertise each and every day. You are a superstar, Maggie!

Carrie Miller
Office Manager at Sky Valley Education Center
Carrie is the quintessential office manager. Her positive energy makes tasks such as ordering, filling out timesheets correctly, understanding our calendar, scheduling events and meetings, and trying to use new tools and equipment in the office actually fun! She is never too busy to stop what she is doing to help answer a quick question or to let you know that she just needs to dig a little deeper to find the solution you are looking for. Not only does she respond to requests for help immediately, she also has a 6th sense, allowing her to somehow know what you need before you even ask! As she juggles a multitude of requests, she maintains a high degree of professionalism while working behind the scenes to make sure our needs are met. Thank you, Carrie, for making our jobs soooo much easier!

Jamie brings joy and charisma to SVEC each day. Hers is the first bright smile to greet you when you walk in the door and the first cheerful voice you hear when you call with questions. She is the first one to jump up and assist when a child needs to call home or has a question about graduation, or when parents need to view their child's learning plan or find their way around campus. Her smile helps calm down big emotions; her listening ear eases worry and gives you the sense that everything is going to be okay. She is willing to do whatever it takes to provide a positive experience for families and to resolve issues with sensitivity, understanding, laughter, grace, and humility. Her calm and kind demeanor helps make the office a happy place to be! Thank you for brightening our days, Jamie!

Ms. Jamie is the glue to Maltby Elementary!  She greets every one that walks through the door with the most heartfelt smile and greeting. She truly loves her job and it shows day in and day out. I’ve experienced her both as a parent and a co-worker and I am beyond thankful for ALL she does…and she does a lot with always having such a positive attitude.

Linda Hampton

Linda does it all.  She is the first person families, students and staff meet. This school year she has held everything together with her calm demeanor. She has worked without a school counselor, and a new building principal. In her day to day role, she does the work of several people, attendance, registrar, main office, health room ........She is the glue that keeps the school together and always operates in a professional manner that puts students first.

Tom Zinck
Custodian at Salem Woods Elementary
Last week he had a massive throw-up incident in my classroom. Our night custodian went above and beyond and helped me by getting my classroom cleaned and ready for students. When he was called to my room, he was fantastic. He asked me what I needed done, and he said he would have it taken care of by morning. No problem, no questions asked. He cleaned the floors, the glass doors, the walls and the inside of the cubbies (yes it was a lot of throw up!). This may not seem just part of his job, but the way he went about it showed that he cared for my students and I. He took the time to do a deep clean of the areas in my room that had been covered in throw-up to help my students and I feel at ease. He did this and still did everything else he was responsible for that night. Tom is an amazing custodian and we are so lucky to have him at Salem Woods.

Darwin Swenson
Bus Driver at Transportation
Darwin (Dar) is an exemplary model of what a school bus driver is and should be. He goes up and beyond his role on a daily basis. He works with a positive attitude and encourages others to have one also. The children love him. His fellow employees do also. He is a kind and caring person.

Kasey Schumacher
Office Support at Sky Valley Education Center
Kasey's creativity keeps our office and communication to families both professional and accessible. Whether it's providing office decorations to lift our spirits, designing a newsletter that is eye catching and visually pleasing, or finding ways to improve our website, Kasey has the touch! Thank you for sharing your creativity and design skills with SVEC!

So glad Cammie is on our team.
