Progress

  • As a reminder, at the end of every month, teachers are required to determine whether each student made satisfactory progress in each LILHS course.
  • Advisors will then determine whether each student is making OVERALL satisfactory progress.
  • Overall satisfactory progress is achieved when a student is performing satisfactorily in at least HALF of their LILHS classes.
  • Students who are making progress in at least half of their classes will receive satisfactory monthly progress.
  • Students who are NOT making progress in at least half of their classes will receive Unsatisfactory progress, and will have to meet with a guidance counselor or advisor to design a plan of improvement - within 5 school days.
  • Students who do not make satisfactory progress for three month cannot continue to remain enrolled at Leaders in Learning High School, so Overall Satisfactory Progress is extremely important!
  • Keep in mind, satisfactory progress does not necessarily mean a student is on track to earn credit by any particular date or that they are doing particularly well - it only means they are making satisfactory progress to remain enrolled in the program.
