As a reminder, at the end of every month, teachers are required to determine whether each student made satisfactory progress in each LILHS course.
Advisors will then determine whether each student is making OVERALL satisfactory progress.
Overall satisfactory progress is achieved when a student is performing satisfactorily in at least HALF of their LILHS classes.
Students who are making progress in at least half of their classes will receive satisfactory monthly progress.
Students who are NOT making progress in at least half of their classes will receive Unsatisfactory progress, and will have to meet with a guidance counselor or advisor to design a plan of improvement - within 5 school days.
Students who do not make satisfactory progress for three month cannot continue to remain enrolled at Leaders in Learning High School, so Overall Satisfactory Progress is extremely important!
Keep in mind, satisfactory progress does not necessarily mean a student is on track to earn credit by any particular date or that they are doing particularly well - it only means they are making satisfactory progress to remain enrolled in the program.
