You're Invited: Superintendent Search Community Forum

The Monroe School District Board of Directors is committed to a transparent and thorough process as they search for a long-term superintendent to lead the district. Community members, families, students, and staff are invited to engage in the process. HYA Associates will start by conducting listening sessions with stakeholders to identify the strengths and challenges of the district and the desired characteristics, experience, and skills of the next superintendent. They have already begun scheduling listening sessions with district leaders, local business leaders, community leaders, staff groups, and Monroe School District labor unions.

In addition, all community members are invited to attend a community forum on Wednesday, November 16 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the District Administration Office (14692 179th Ave SE, Monroe). In-person attendance is encouraged, but community members may also participate via Zoom: https://monroe-wednet.zoom.us/j/85489603417. Spanish translation will be available both in-person and remotely. To participate in Spanish remotely, please call 360-804-2682 during the meeting time.

For those unable to attend listening sessions, an online survey via ThoughtExchange will be open to all community members beginning Thursday, November 10 through November 23. More information on this will be sent out on Thursday.

Updates on the search process will be regularly shared at School Board meetings. Updates and the search timeline can also be found on our website: www.monroe.wednet.edu/about/superintendent-search
