Team Mission

Collaborative effort of cheerleaders and stunt athletes who support MHS athletics, exemplifying leadership and striving for excellence on and off the mat.

Try-outs & Practices

Cheer is a year-long program at Monroe High School.

Tryouts -  Athletes are placed on teams based on their skill levels through evaluation during tryouts. 
Registration for tryouts will open in May 2024 for the 2024-2025 Cheer Team.

In order to attend try-outs, you MUST be cleared by the MHS Athletic Department in Final Forms. 

Practices - Practices are three times per week, summer through spring.

Cheer Season

  • Volleyball (fall sideline),
  • Football (fall sideline),
  • Basketball (winter sideline), and
  • Cheer competitions (winter competition) 

Financial Information

Total cost for year: $635

  • May: Uniform Deposit - $100
  • June: Cheer Camp - $125
  • August: ASB Card - $50 (All students participating in a high school sport must purchase an ASB sticker prior to the start of the season.)
  • November: Athletic Fee - $110 (there is an athletic fee for each sport a student participates in. Failure to pay the athletic fee may result in ineligibility and a fine will be place on the student athlete's account.)
  • The remaining $250 balance will be offset by the teams fundraising efforts between May 1-September 1. Any amount owed will be due October 1st.
