Important Senior Dates

All major dates for your senior year can be found on the timeline below. This website will be updated regularly - check back often!

Need help paying for graduation-related expenses, such as cap & gown, senior party/trip, announcements, senior pictures, etc.? Reach out to your school counselor to connect you with various opportunities for graduation-related financial support.

ASAP - Meet Graduation Requirements

  1. Have you checked in with your counselor to ensure you are on-track to graduate?
  2. High School & Beyond Plan (HSBP) completed - this is a STATE graduation requirement
    • More information will be coming throughout the year to help you access this and complete all requirements. 
    • If you’re a Running Start student, please reach out to your counselor. 

ASAP - Pay All Fines/Fees

  • In order to pick up your diploma over the summer you must have all financial obligations (fines, fees, lunch fines) cleared, all Chromebooks, textbooks, library books, sports/uniforms & equipment returned, and have completed the Senior Checkout form. 
  • If you have checked out a book or library book that you can’t find, it will be converted into a fine. Check with the finance office for help with any specific questions or issues.

OCTOBER 2024

October 15th - Senior Class Meeting during Flex.

October 29th - National Achiever paper order form turn-in and swag pick-up during student lunches


NOVEMBER 2024

November 8 - Deadline to Submit Senior Yearbook Photo 

  • All seniors must submit their photo for the senior class section of the yearbook. If you cannot afford or do not want to have professional photos taken, you are welcome to email us and a member of the yearbook staff would be happy to take one for you: mhsyearbook@monroe.wednet.edu
  • Yearbook photo guidelines:
    • Photos must be vertical
    • Head & shoulder shots are recommended. Do not cover your face. If a full body photo is submitted, it will be cropped to waist and above
    • Please ask your photographer to remove any text or watermark from your photo
    • Please exclude photos with large writing/logos on apparel
    • Please exclude pets & large props
  • Image Format:
    • Submit photos in JPEG image format 
    • If you are able, edit to 300dpi and 1.5” x 2” or larger If you are unfamiliar with these settings, submit original image file and we will edit for you.
    • RENAME the file you are submitting as "LastName, FirstName".

November 15 -  Deadline for Purchasing Senior Yearbook Ad 

  • Families can purchase an optional ad that will be placed at the back of the yearbook. This is a place for families to share pictures of their senior or write a loving message to their child.

DECEMBER 2024

December 15 - Deadline to Order National Achiever Cap & Gown, Swag, & Announcements

  • ALL students need a cap and gown that matches their peers AND fits them properly. The basic package includes your cap, gown, and 2025 stole and tassel. Any caps and gowns from past graduates must be cleared through Liz Holton in the office, bring them in and she’ll ensure they match and fit properly.

FEBRUARY 2025

February 18, 2025 - 11:00-1:00 National Achiever "Swag" Product Pick-Up

  • Seniors can pick-up items ordered from National Achiever during both lunches in the PAC/Commons 

February 25, 2025 - Verify Full Name for Diploma

  • Default: Full First, Middle, and Last Names according to what is listed in Family Access. 

APRIL 2025

April 19, 2025 - Senior Prom

  • 2025 Senior Prom Dance Guest Form

  • GUEST GUIDELINES:  
    • Guests 18 to 20 years old (regardless if they are enrolled in school or not):
      • Must fill out the application on the volunteer link on the Monroe School District website and be cleared by WSP.
      • The 2025 Senior Prom Dance Guest form, ALONG WITH, a copy of their driver license or photo ID must be submitted to the MHS Main Office by 4/4/25 (Friday).
    • Guests 17 and under who are enrolled in school:
      • The 2025 Senior Prom Dance Guest form must include parent signature(s) along with Administrative signature from school of attendance.
      • The 2025 Senior Prom Dance Guest form ALONG w/ a copy of student ID from school of attendance must be submitted to MHS Main Office by 4/16/25 (Wednesday).
    • Guests who are NOT enrolled in a school AT ALL (homeschooled, etc.) of any age, max age of 20 years old:
      • Must fill out the application on the volunteer link on the Monroe School District website and be cleared by the WSP.
      • The 2025 Senior Prom Dance Guest form ALONG WITH, a copy of their driver license or photo ID must be submitted to the MHS Main Office by 4/4/25 (Friday).

April 22, 2025- MANDATORY Senior Class Meeting During "HOMEROOM"
(in the PAC from 9:15-9:45)

 

April 22, 2025- National Achiever Product Pick-up During Student Lunches

  • Pick-up for items ordered after the initial deadline.
  • If you are missing a stole, you can pick it up in the office.
  • If you are missing anything else contact National Achiever directly.
     

April 26, 2025 (Saturday) - Senior Community Service Project - Sky River Park

  • More information available from Sevier & Werder.  You're responsible for your own transportation (this is a Saturday).  
  • Stay tuned for more details & permission slips (REQUIRED). 

MAY 2025

JUNE 2025

June 3:  Elementary Walk Permission Form Due

  • Field trip permission slips are required due to riding the bus, and letting us know which elementary school you’ll be walking at.

June 3:  Senior Class Meeting During HOMEROOM (In the PAC from 9:15-9:45)

  • Last minute details regarding graduation, etc.

June 3:  Senior Awards & Scholarship Night @ 6:00 p.m. in the PAC

 

TBD:  Yearbooks

June 10-12:  Senior Check-out & Last Day to Turn in Work

  • June 10 - get check out form in 5th period class. Have teachers sign off on classes as you go through the day. Get other signatures signed off at lunch on PAC stage
  • June 11 - Have teachers sign off on classes throughout the day. Get other signatures signed off at lunch on PAC stage.
  • June 11-12 - Turn in check out form to office and get graduation tickets
  • Textbook/equipment/etc drop off and pay any outstanding fines and past years lunch balances at MHS.
  • Senior check-out must be completed (including Running Start students) in order to get your graduation tickets. 

June 11:  Senior Dinner & Sunset - 5:30 p.m. - 9:45 p.m.

  • June 11 - Doors open @ 5:30, dinner starts @ 6:00, Sunset @ 8:45. COST IS $5.00

June 12:  Senior Walk @ Elementary Schools - 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
 

June 12:  Moving Up Assembly & Senior Serpentine - 1:00 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. 
 

June 13:  NO SCHOOL FOR SENIORS

  • Can only come to school to wrap-up student check-out and pick up graduation tickets.

June 16, 2025 - Graduation  at Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett - 5:00 p.m.
