Course Registration Timeline for the 2026-27 School Year

Current MHS students in grades 9-11 (Class of 2027, 2028, and 2029):

Students will attend Homeroom on February 23 and 24, 2026 (there will be no Flex period) so they can work on their High School and Beyond Plan and start working on planning their course selections for next year. Course requests for the 2026-27 school year will take place in English classes on March 5, 2026.

  • February 23 and 24: High School & Beyond Planning
    High School and Beyond Planning will be worked on during Homeroom through an online program called Xello, which takes students through different lessons and paths as they work on preparing themselves for life after high school. As part of this, they will also look at what courses they need in order to graduate and prepare them for the next part of their lives.
  • March 2 and 3: Course Request Planning for 2026-27 School Year
    Students will watch a video from our counselors going over the process of how to request courses. They will then receive one of the course request worksheets below and have time to plan their course requests for next year. Counselors and teachers will be available to answer questions.
  • March 4: Elective Fair
    Booths for all elective classes will be set up during lunches. Students are encouraged to visit booths to learn more about elective class options, what makes them special, and ask any questions.
  • March 5: Official Course Requests for Grades 9-11
    Official course requests for the 2026-27 school year will take place in English classes. Counselors will be available to help students, as will their English teacher, who has been trained on the courses and graduation requirements. Students will login to Family Access and follow the process to officially request their courses for next year.

Current 8th graders (Class of 2030):

  • February 24: MHS counselors will meet via Zoom with 8th grade classes at Park Place Middle School during Science classes to present info about course offerings at MHS & the registration process. 
  • February 25: MHS counselors will meet via Zoom with 8th grade classes at Hidden River Middle School during Health/P.E. classes to present info about course offerings at MHS & the registration process. 
  • March 4: Future Bearcat Information Night at MHS from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
  • March 6: Class of 2029 Course Planning Worksheets are due to PPMS Science teachers.
  • March 6: Class of 2029 Course Planning Worksheets are due to HRMS P.E./Health teachers.
  • March 10-11: PPMS students will officially register for MHS classes via Skyward/Family Access. 
  • March 11: HRMS students will officially register for MHS classes via Skyward/Family Access.

  • Once enrolled, please print and fill out the Course Planning Worksheet for your graduation year (linked above). Please reference the Course Catalog for guidance.
  • Submit the completed Course Planning Worksheet in-person or by email to the MHS registrar: Tammy Berreth berretht@monroe.wednet.edu
