My name is Terry Cheshire and I am beginning my fourth year as the principal at Park Place. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family to Park Place Middle School, the home of the Pumas! We are a 6th through 8th grade middle school located at 1408 W. Main Street in Monroe, Washington.
During the 2016-2017 school year, we began a major remodeling project at Park Place that will ultimately result in a beautiful new school. When the construction project is complete in the summer of 2018 our new building will provide our staff the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams to provide each student with the educational experience they need to reach their potentials. In addition to the new building, the voters of Monroe also supported the upgrading of our athletic fields. Beginning in the 2017-18 school year, our football, cross-country, softball and track teams will have new fields and a track to practice on and hold competitions. We are very excited about our new school and we are extremely grateful to our community for supporting our schools and more importantly our students by voting for this project!
At Park Place, “It is our mission to ensure each student learns the academic, social-emotional, and physical skills and knowledge required for them to access their future academic and career opportunities.” Every day our staff at Park Place works tirelessly to achieve our mission. However, to achieve our mission it requires the involvement of and collaboration with our parents and community. I would like to extend an invitation to you to get involved and catch the Puma Pride! Whether your interests are working with our Parent Teacher Organization, coming into school to be a volunteer or becoming involved with our Watch D.O.G.S program, your time and involvement is important. To achieve our mission, we need your support and involvement. If you are interested in getting involved at our school, please contact our main office and we will find an opportunity at Park Place to put your talents and skills to use in making a difference in the lives of our students!
Again, welcome to Park Place Middle School. I look forward to meeting you and your family and working together to ensure every student has the support and guidance they need so they can achieve their dreams!
