School Program & Operations Levy Passing

School Program & Operations Levy Passing

Initial election results indicate our replacement of the expiring School Program and Operations levy will pass with over 53% of voters approving the measure.

"Local funding for our schools is critical and I am grateful to the Monroe voters for their support of our students and schools," said Superintendent Fredrika Smith. "This levy will allow us to continue to provide the quality education our community expects for our children, which goes beyond the minimum funded by the state."

The levy bridges the gap between what the state funds and the education provided to students in Monroe. The approved levy will pay for critical needs, including teachers, staff, school nurses, safety and security officers, counselors, special education, athletics, and district maintenance and operations. Visit our School Program & Operations page to learn more about what this levy will pay for.

Votes will continue to be counted this week with the results officially certified on February 23. Daily ballot counts are updated daily on the Snohomish County Elections website
