Monroe School District Welcomes New Student Representative to the School Board

At the September 8, 2025, school board meeting, Rena Shaw-Woldman, a junior at Sky Valley Education Center, was officially sworn in as the newest student representative to the Monroe School District Board of Directors.

For the 2025–26 school year, Rena will serve alongside Myron Robinson Jr., a senior at Monroe High School, who is completing the second year of his two-year term. Rena begins the first year of her two-year term and will transition into the senior student representative position when Myron graduates.

Rena has been a student at Sky Valley since first grade and is eager to represent her school’s diverse student body. She is also interested in public policy and hopes to pursue a career in environmental law. Through this role, she looks forward to developing her leadership skills and connecting with students from across the district.

With both Myron and Rena serving on the board this year, Monroe School District continues its commitment to elevating student voices in decision-making. Together, they will provide valuable input to the board and serve as a bridge between students and district leadership.

Please join us in congratulating Rena Shaw-Woldman on her new role and thanking Myron Robinson Jr. for his continued service.
