Beginning in the 2018-19 school year, Leaders in Learning High School will be located as a 'school within a school' on the Monroe High School campus. In addition to the standard suite of Leaders courses in the LILHS classrooms, Leaders students will have access to select MHS courses.
This transition is designed, in alignment with state graduation requirements, to provide students additional access to improved transportation, World Languages, Career & Tech Education, Special Education Services, English Language Learner Services, and General Electives while preserving the identity, size, and culture of Leaders in Learning as its own school.
While on the MHS campus, LILHS will remain its own separate and distinct school with a designated 'microcampus' for LILHS courses. The first day is tentatively scheduled for September 5, 2018, prior to which an orientation will be held to introduce students to the new campus. Additional details will be forthcoming.
