Graduation “To Do’s” for the class of 2026

September:
  • September 11 - Senior Kick-off Meeting: 
    • SVEC Library 11:00 - 12:00What is covered? Anything and everything senior-related such as ordering cap/gown, submitting senior photos, HSBP, Senior check-ins with counselors, voting on senior colors, etc, etc. etc.
  • September 30 - Discounted Online Presale Yearbook Order Due Date: $30
October:
  • October 1 - WSU Regents Scholarship 2025-2026 Applications Open (Deadline October 22nd)
  • October 22 - Deadline Submission WSU Regents Scholarship 2025-2026 Applications
November:
  • November 7 – ASVAB Test - Passing the ASVAB can satisfy a Graduation Pathway Option which is a state graduation requirement.
  • BEFORE November 11 – Senior check-in meeting with a school counselor
    • Counselors will go over your credits and make sure you are on track with all of your graduation requirements including RESUME! 
    • Make an appointment, reach out to a counselor directly or call the office at 360-804-2700:
February:
  • February 9 - 15 - FINAL WEEK Online Presale Yearbook Order: $35
  • February 20 – ASVAB Test - Passing the ASVAB can satisfy a Graduation Pathway Option which is a state graduation requirement.
March:
    March 1 – Deadline for Free Announcement Orders: 
    • SVEC offers all graduates 20 free announcements that we print in the spring. 
    • Please advise your counselor or Cammie Deasy that you would like to order your free announcements.
    • Some parents choose to order the professional announcements from Josten’s and some make their own.
  • March 6 - DEADLINE for Senior Portrait and Half-page Collage for Yearbook:  
    • Email file to svecyearbook@gmail.com
  • Due BEFORE March 15 - Order Cap, Gown & Stole 
    • Visit Jostens.com to place your cap, gown and stole order.
    • Your gowns, caps and stoles will be delivered directly to SVEC, but novelty items will ship to your home
    • If you need to borrow a cap and gown, please email deasyc@monroe.wednet.edu letting her know how tall you are so she can reserve a gown in your size.  
    • A tassel and stole will still need to be ordered through Jostens.com.
    • Don't forget you can request 20 free announcements, but if you need more or want to go with the Josten's version you'll need to order through them.
  • March 31 - Complete Class of 2026 Graduation Form
April:
  • April 1 – Deadline RESUME (Graduation Requirement): 
May:
  • May 6  – Deadline High School Beyond Plan (HSBP) submission (Graduation Requirements):
  • May 6  – Deadline for “Dear Senior” Note (This is optional, not a requirement of graduation) 
    • Choose a person to write a brief (2-3 sentence) note addressed to you for the graduation program.  
    • Graduates often ask their parents, a sibling, pastor, or friend. 
    • Please have the author email their note to deasyc@monroe.wednet.edu
  • May 6  – Deadline for Graduate Reflection (This is optional, not a requirement of graduation)  
    • The Graduate themself writes a brief note about themselves. 
    • Submit a 2-4 sentence write up highlighting your accomplishments, after graduation plans, dreams for the future, people you’d like to thank, etc. 
      • See Ms. Cammie in the office for examples if you need help.
    • Email your notes to deasyc@monroe.wednet.edu.
  • May 8  – Deadline for Graduation Slideshow “Through the Years” Photos (This is optional, not a requirement of graduation) 
    • During the graduation ceremony, a slideshow presentation will be shown on each graduate! 
    • Please supply 6 photos of yourself (baby - senior year pics). 
    • Email up to 6 photos to svecyearbook@gmail.com  
  • May 15 – Spring Formal
    • Theme: Out of This World 
    • Date: May 15, 2026
    • Time: 6:00 PM
    • Who: Grades 9–12
    • Carnegie Building 105 Cedar Ave Snohomish, WA
    • Presale pricing will be $35 then $40 at the door.
    • The link to purchase tickets and more details will be shared as soon as they are available!
  • TBD – Spring Graduation Meeting: The final countdown!!!
June:
  • June 1 – Off-Site Credits Due: 
    • Off-Site, ALEKS, Pink Sheets and verification of Running Start Grades (if class fills a requirement) must be completed by the end of May. 
  • June 5  – SVEC Senior Strut: 
    • Graduating Senior’s dress in your cap & gown and strut your stuff around SVEC campus. Light refreshments after. Be in the gathering room at 9:20. 
  • June 9  – Deadline to Submit 2026 Senior Check-out Form
  • June 11 – MHS & SVEC Class of 2026 Senior Walk: 
    • SVEC seniors are welcome to join the MHS seniors at the elementary senior walk 9 am - 11 am.
    • SVEC students can ride the bus from MHS to the elementary schools.
      • A signed permission slip to ride the bus is required.
      • Students can also drive themselves, but need to let Cammie Deasy know which school they will walk at. 
  • June 12  – Download Documents from School Google Account:
    • Save any documents that live in your Google drive that you want to save or might need after graduation.  Once students graduate, their Google accounts are no longer active and you won’t be able to retrieve anything. 
  • June 13  – Personal Display: 
    • The small gym will host your personal displays during the graduation reception.  
    • Displays consist of a tri-fold board filled with photos, accomplishments and or items that represent your interests and hobbies. See Cammie for examples.
  • June 13 – Graduation: 
    • 1:00 p.m. SVEC Large Gym 
    • Graduates will meet in the gathering room at 11:00 for rehearsal. 
    • Reception to follow the ceremony in the small gym.
    • Tickets are not required to attend the SVEC ceremony.
