Earning Credits

As an alternative school, we are able to offer graduation credit for passing the SBAC in English, Math (10th grade) and Science (11th grade). If you pass any or all of these tests, 1 credit can be awarded towards the 24 credits required for graduation in each subject area.

  • You can earn 1.0 credit of English and 1.0 credit of Math the first time you pass the test
  • You can earn 1.0 credits of Science in 11th grade
  • *Passing the ELA & Math SBA tests can count as your “Pathway” for earning an SVEC Diploma

*Meeting a “Pathway” is a requirement for earning an SVEC diploma. Pathways can also be met by passing a college level Math and English course in Running Start, participating in Sno-Isle, meeting a cut-score on the ASVAB military test, etc… More information on Pathways can be found HERE.

If you have any questions at all about obtaining credit, please feel free to reach out to one of the counselors.
