Student Email Access

Provided the internet usage consent form has been signed by the parents, all students at Sky Valley Education Center have student email accounts.

These email accounts are provided through a secure subdivision of Google. This means that in order to access your school email account, you must log into Gmail using the school email address and password provided to you at the beginning of the school year.

The email addresses for students is usually the first 5 letters of their last name, the first three letters of their first name, and three zeros - for example: FITTIJOS000@school.monroe.wednet.edu. In the case of duplicate students, the zeros might change to 001, 002, and so on.

If you have misplaced your account information, please contact the office, Katie Kent, or Josie Fitting for help retrieving your account information.

The following steps will walk you through logging into your school email account:

  • Go to gmail.com.
  • You should be prompted to log in. Enter your school email address and then press enter.
    • If a personal email account pops up instead of a login screen, you must log out of that email account in order to log into your school email account.
  • You will be prompted for a password. Enter the password and press enter.
  • You have successfully logged in! If this is your first time logging in, you might be prompted with some first-time login messages.

If this account is a Google account, does that mean I can use other Google products through this account?

Absolutely! There are some limitations based on grade level, which you can view by clicking here. But as a whole, here are some of the Google services available to our students through their school accounts:

  • Gmail
  • Google Calendar
  • Google Drive
  • Google Docs
  • Google Slides
  • Google Sheets

Google Drive is a powerful means of cloud storage that students can utilize with a large amount of storage space through their school account. Students may also log in and access their Google Drives at home, which makes it a fantastic space to store their class assignments, documents, presentations, or anything else they might need to store for their coursework.
