Dear Monroe School District team,

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! I am so honored to write this year’s teacher appreciation letter. As many of you know, I am a Monroe graduate and my three children are Monroe School District students. In fact, the school board as a whole is very closely tied to Monroe. Three of our board directors have students in the district and one is a third-generation Monroe graduate. We know firsthand that you, our amazing educators, are an incredible team dedicated to educating and supporting the students of Monroe.

In our work as school board directors, we find ourselves awestruck when visiting schools throughout the district. Thank you for creating welcoming environments in classrooms, for the care you pour into your work, our students and fellow teachers and staff, and for your continued partnership in doing great things for our students. We are grateful for your unwavering support for all students in our district. We appreciate you. 

It is our hope that you take a moment this week to pause and reflect on the powerful work you have chosen as your career. You make an immeasurable difference in the lives of students. Thank you. 

As we forge ahead, we are thrilled to continue to partner to provide our students with the best possible educational experience. We are very proud to be a part of Team Monroe and hope you are too.
